Had i read that title a few moment before watching this video i would have scoffed and thought, it’s going to take something special. Well here it is, exactly what the world needed a band of three attractive girls playing electric distorted violins and drums to cover metal songs. Incredible!
Welcome to my tutorial for how to play first day of my life by Bright eyes. This song was a beautiful single released on March 21st 2005 and reached the number 37 on the Uk singles chart. Not exactly a high climber but for an acoustic song of beauty that is at least a decent amount of recognition and the song does deserve to be respected as a classic.
I have here my cover, my video tutorial, the original Bright eyes version and below are my tabbed out chords to play along with with each chords explained in Tab. Hope you enjoy. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions for which song you would like me to do next.
Welcome to my first real post here at Guy With A Guitar. I Have chosen to cover the beautiful acoustic song ‘The Animals Were Gone by Damien Rice’ and to show how simple it is to play it.
Damien Rice is one of my favorite composers, the Irish Singer/songwriter wrote this song back in 2006 but the simplicity and strange beauty really make it a song that stands out and strums at the heart strings of oh so many acoustic fans out there.
